JAMMU, Sept 12: Department of Students Welfare, JU, in collaboration with British High Commission, is organizing an Essay Writing competition on the campus on November 5 at 11 am.
Meant exclusively for the Under Graduate students, the competition shall be on the topic, "What role can Youth play in making multiculturalism a success in society?
The word limit for this English Essay is 1500 to be written in a maximum time of 60 minutes. "The target colleges have been asked to depute five best students who are well versed with the writing of the essay. Top five candidates will also be invited to make an oral presentation to accompany their essay. The final winner will be selected by the British High Commission," informed Dean Students Welfare, Prof NK Tripathi.
Furthermore, the winner will be offered one-week sponsored tour to the UK, which would include visit to historic sites, academic institutions and cultural events along with peer group interactions. |
