| PDP, CONG Reschedule Calender of Public Meetings | | | Jammu, March 14 Sudden change in weather conditions triggered by unprecedented snowfall and incessant rains across the state has not only disrupted normal life wrecking havoc on civic amenities and choking supply lines, it has also disturbed the itinerary of various public meetings planned by coalition partners Congress and the PDP in Jammu and Srinagar.Without wasting much time, the PDP think tank has now decided to reschedule the meetings in both the regions and at present are working on revised schedule in consultation with party patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed.It may be mentioned that PDP had planned a big rally here in Jammu on March 16 toexplain their partys stand on issues raised by them in their meetings with central UPA leadership and others inNew Delhi.In the changed circumstances, senior PDP leader and former deputy chief Minister MuzaffarHussainBaig would go ahead with his scheduled meetings in Rajouri and Poonch districts started from March 23 followed it upwith series of meetings of party chief in Kashmir valley.According to senior PDP leader,since party ChiefMehbooba Mufti will be out of Jammu till March 28 chances of holding public meeting before that look bleak.On the other hand Congress party had to cancel its public meting in Ganderbal owing to inclement weather conditions in Kashmir.However the party spokesman here in Jammu expressed hope they had to cancel two meeting son Wednesday and hoped that all other meetings scheduled to be held during next week would not be disturbed.
