State BJP held a meeting of prominent citizens belonging to all walks of life to discuss the issues facing the state in general and the people of Jammu region in particular under the chairmanship of the party president Ashok Khajuria.
The issue of the separatist activities in Jammu region, especially the winter capital of the state, Jammu, also came up under discussion, with every one expressing deep concern over the ease with which the separatists and some so-called mainstream leaders are openly preaching secessionism in Jammu. After due deliberations, a unanimous resolution was adopted asking the state government to take all measures to check with a heavy hand the secessionist activities being indulged in by the separatists and certain “mainstream” leaders in Jammu.
