| Police martyrs Hocket Tournament From Today | | | Jammu, March 15
Fourteen premiere teams are participating in the second All India Police martyrs memorial hocket tournament beginning in Jammu from Friday ,according to ADG (Armed) PS Gill.
Mr Gill told mediamen today that teams including Punjab police, JKHA, Haryana Police,Rock rovers Chandigarh, CISF, BSF,CRPF, Punjab and Sind bank,Core of signal,Jammu Kashmir police,Delhi IX and SSB were among the teams taking part in the week long tournament.
He said that the tournament was being organsied to pay tributes to more than 1000 thousand officers and jawans of state police who laid their lives while fighting against terrorism. He said that the Governor Lt-Gen SK Sinha will declare the tournament open. He said that last year fourteen leading hockey teams particiapte din the first tournament in which Punjab police team clinched the trophy by beating Punjab and Sind bank.The tournament has been recongnised by an Indain hockey federation as an A-Grade tournament.
