| Training course for small saving agents held | | | JAMMU MARCH 15 To mobilize small savings collections in Jammu and Kashmir and to equip the small savings agents with marketing strategies and update their knowledge, the National Savings Institute has drawn up a comprehensive program to impart training to the agents. As a part of the program, Hemant Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu today inaugurated a training program at Jammu. Speaking on the occasion Sharma highlighted the importance of savings and said that the net collections under small savings are pumped back to the State’s economy for undertaking developmental projects. Regional Director NSI Chandigarh Gurcharan Singh who was also present said that against the target of Rs.750 crore, net collections to the tune of Rs.320 crore have been made in Jammu and Kashmir up to January last. Similar training programs are being organized in other districts of Jammu region, he added.
