| Exempt private educational institutions from trade tax, Rao | | |
Jammu March 15
Acknowledging the role of Private educational institutions in imparting quality education, General Secretary of Milchar Front has urged the government not to bring these institutions under the purview of trade tax.
‘Imparting education is a mission and a noble avocation,’ he said and urged the government not to bring these temples of learning under the ambit of Shops and Establishment Act of 1966 and maintained these private institutions should be kept under the administrative control of the Education Department only.
However, he maintained that the proprietors should not make these institutions as commercial establishments.
