Semis position cleared in men's basketball 9/24/2013 10:04:07 PM sports reporter JAMMU, Sept 24: Semifinals position has been cleared in the ongoing inter-college Basketball (men) tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Police Stadium, Gulshan Ground, here. Teams reaching the last four stages are MAM College, GGM Science College, SPMR Commerce College and PG Departments. Now, in the semifinals, MAM College shall take on GGM Science College while SPMR Commerce College shall meet PG Departments tomorrow. Earlier, in today's quarterfinals, MAM College outplayed GDC Kathua 33-15 and Commerce College beat GDC Paloura 29-23. The PG Departments trounced GCET Jammu 39-07 in a one-sided contest. Director, Department of Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Dhian Singh Bhau was special guest in today's opening match played between MAM College and GDC Kathua. Meanwhile, in women's section, PG Departments shall face Government College for Women (GCW) Parade in the final tomorrow at 12.30 pm. Earlier, in the semifinal PG outplayed GCW Gandhi Nagar 18-09. Today's matches were officiated by Aman Sharma, Amarjit Singh, Shaktiesh, Rajesh Bandral, Mousmi Verma, Mohd.
