sports reporter JAMMU, Sept 24: Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association State team participated in 6th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championships from 19th to 22nd September, 2013 at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Imphal, Manipur organized by Taekwondo Federation of India and lived upto its reputation and came out with flying colors. Atul Pangotra (Commonwealth Medalist) and Working in Youth Services & Sports Deptt, J&K Govt.) retain his last year title and won only Gold Medal for JandK state in the 2nd Senior Individual Category. He was continuing his winning spree from 2008 by winning Gold. He was already won Bronze medal for India in Commonwealth Taekwondo Championship and he is selected for the 8th World Taekwondo Poomsae championship held in Bali, Indonesia from 31st Oct to 3rd Nov, 2013. Atul was always the member of Indian team in all the world championships. Last year he was selected for the world championship in Colombia but due to financial problem he was not participated So we hope state Govt. take initiative and sponsor him so that he bring laurel for state in the International level also. Chairman J and K Taekwondo Association Anil Gupta (Annu) congratulated the team and coaches for Excellent performance in the above said championship and Atul Pangotra for Selection in Indian team. Under the dynamic leadership of Anil Gupta J&K team continue giving best result because he always motivating players and felicitate for best performance and after reaching Jammu Anil Gupta organize a felicitation function for all team members and felicitate them in that. President JKTA P.C.Sharma, Secretary D.N.Pangotra and Vice- President Nisar Hussain also congratulated all the team members and medal winner and selected player and wish him Good luck to maintain their winning Spree in the next Championship and thanked Janab. Taj Mohi ud din Hon'ble Minister for Sports, Dileep Thussu (Secretary J&K State Sports Council) and Naveen Aggarwal (IPS) ( Director General, Youth Services and Sports Deptt) for kind support and special thanks to Hartej Singh, Principal, Govt College of Physical education, Ganderbal and Prof.Mushtaq Azad where Atul Pangotra presently perusing B.P.Ed on govt. deputation. they spare Atul Pangotra for practice during course.
