Early Times Report Rajouri, Sept 24: Following a suspect case of dengue fever the health authorities have collected blood samples from his family members and close kins of a resident of Chowki Handan in Noushera tehsil who had been taken him to Jammu on Monday for further investigation. Sources said that the suspect was perusing Pharmacist training in an institute at New Delhi returned to his home town after he complained fever on September 13. Apprehending a possible case of Dengue, as at presently the Delhi is in the grip of Dengue fever, he was taken to Jammu to a private clinic where non-specific test conducted by the doctors declared positive. Consultant doctors after this test started his treatment and after few days came back to his house at Chowki Handan. On Sunday after a complaint of fever, the suspect dengue case was again admitted in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Noushera but doctors were not informed about his past treatment. "After initial treatment he was referred to GMC &H Jammu for IGM antibody test for the confirmation of dengue, " said Dr Raghubir Singh, Block medical Officer (BMO), Noushera. He also informed that for precautionary measures they have collected blood samples of about 40 persons from Chowki Handan village close to suspect and his relatives. All the samples will be sent to Jammu for furthers clinical investigations, he added. |
