REASI Sept 24: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu today took stock of the developmental works being executed in the hilly district Reasi besides reviewing the availability of essential commodities in the area. On the occasion, District Development Commissioner Reasi (DDC) Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary gave a detail account of physical and financial achievement registered in various sectors under annual district plan 2013-14. Choudhary apprised against an approved outlay of Rs 7753.37 lakhs for the current financial year, 3002.78 Lakh has been provided against which an expenditure of 1057.66 Lakh has been incurred ending August 2013 thus registering 35.22 percent expenditure. DDC also gave a detail account of centrally sponsored flagship programme which is under implementation in the district. He revealed that under MGNREGA 1560 works are under execution and about 50566 job cards have been issued so far. Dr. Shahid also highlighted the present status and achievements under various schemes which included SSA, RAMSA, PMGSY and NRHM. The Divisional Commissioner asked for prioritizing demands of public utility besides expediting the works being undertaken under PMGSY and ensure timely distribution of compensation among the affected families. Divisional Commissioner also directed for ensuring regularity and punctuality of employees in the offices so as to deliver better services to the people besides redressing their grievances. He also exhorted for conducting survey of damages caused to the crops in the district. ADDC Vikram Singh Jamwal, ADC Rajinder SINGH Tara, ACR Tilak Raj Shastri, officials from BRO, NHPC and from District Administration attended the meeting. |
