| Mahila Congress workers' meeting held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 24: President Mahila Congress J&K and MLA Indu Pawar today held a meeting of Mahila Congress Workers of District Reasi.
Addressing on the occasion, Indu Pawar said that today women is capable of performing any function and duties in a civilized society and she only requires opportunities to be provided to her without discrimination on gender basis.
She also appealed to the society to recognize also the right of girl child and provide her all facilities to grow in education and employment to reduce crime against women which is slur on the society. She further said modern women wants to work shoulder to shoulder with her mate counterpart and instead wants to go ahead in each and every field of life.
She said that congress has already taken a solid step towards this by getting womens reservation bill passed in Rajya Sabha. Many schemes are being introduced for upliftment of women in India. |
