| Food and allied workers serve ultimatum to Government | | | Jammu | March 15
Food and Allied Workers Union held a conference today to highlight their burning problems and inaction of the administration
The union said that the High Court has passed the orders on 25-8-05 to CA&PDC department to revise MGW and the rates for loading and unloading but the order has not yet implemented.
They also demanded the revision of minimum guarantee on the pattern of FCI. The authorities have requested from time to time for bringing the workers under the provident fund scheme but nothing has been done by the government.
The union today appealed to the Chief Minister and the minister for CA&PD, J to look into the matter and implement the court orders.
The union has also appealed to the present coalition government to mitigate the sufferings of labour class, which is always given a step motherly treatment.
