| Handloom deptt organizes awareness camp | | |

Doda, Sept 25: Handloom Development Department Doda organized a one day awareness camp at distt handloom office Doda in which various branch managers from the various banks and viewers of the far flung area of the dsitt participated. IB Sharma lead bank officer presided over the function and LR Nargotra director RSETI also attended the function.
Addressing the participants he asked the viewers to come forward to get benefit from the schemes by introducing new techniques. He also distributed scholarship to 17 students of viewer's community under the schemes Mahatma Gandhi Bunker Nima Yojna.
During the year2013-14 the department has distributed an amount of 1.08 lacs of rupees to the beneficiaries through cheques. Garbi Rashid Dar assistant director Handloom Dev Department Doda while speaking on the occasion apprised about the benefits of all govt schemes of Handloom department in detail. N D Bhat ACSS distributed identity cards/ weavers' card forms to the viewers for their coverage under very important scheme launched by the GOI last year. |
