Poonch, Sept 25: Angered over arrest of Kashmir based traders from Press Club Srinagar, Indian traders today staged protest at Poonch and threatened to suspend trade if their demands would not be accepted immediately. Pawan Anand President Cross LOC Traders Association said that it was a wrong decision of administration to arrest traders from Srinagar Press Club. "We did not suspend trade by this route as we did not want to harass security agencies but now they are unnecessarily harassing traders," he said, adding that they have banned most of tradable items. Anand said authorities did not organize traders meet from last more than six months. He said and demanded that authorities must allow all 21 items which were approved by both the governments till the items were not increased by the governments. He also demanded that authorities must organize traders meet next month. He said if their demands were not accepted by authorities they will suspend trade next week. Krishan Singh, Mohammad Asam, Rajeev Tandan, Amin Magari, Mohammad Taj, Haji Latief, Abdul Ghani, Dewan Gulam Mohd Dewan were also present in meeting |
