Jammu, Sept 25: Paryavaran Bachao-Tawi Bachao (PBTB) today appointed Dr. Gagan Bhagat as convener of the organization for RS Pura tehsil in a meeting held under the leadership General Secretary Devinder Sharma.
Advocate Chandermohan Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. After being appointed a convener, Dr. Gagan Bhagat thanked the state office bearers, and pledged to work sincerely for the organization.
He further said that it is duty of every citizen to save the mother earth, and at least educate one person a day about environment pollution, and the ways to reduce it, and specially mentioning about the river Tawi.
He urged all the residents of Jammu and surrounding areas to aware the masses and stop polluting the "Suryaputri", as river Tawi is commonly called by the people of Jammu. He strongly warned the people and the corrupt politicians who had illegally encroached the banks of Tawi. He informed that organization will hold a protest and demonstration in this regard on October 1 to make aware the people of R.S Pura on this important issue. |
