Jammu, Sept 25: A delegation of College teachers, led by Dr Avinash Kumar Gupta, President J&K College Teachers Association (Jammu Wing), participated in a protest dharna organized by All India Federation of University & College Teachers Organizations (AIFUCTO) in New Delhi recently against UGC and MHRD policies on amendment to UGC regulations 2010 for Career Advancement Scheme.
College and University teachers all over the country took part in the protest Dharna, where, under the banner of AIFUCTO, amended UGC Regulations 2013 were opposed, demanding feasible academic performance indicators (API's) in recruitment and Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
The teachers also demanded removal of anomalies in UGC regulations, an assured Pension Scheme, expansion of Public funded education & democratic governance of Education.
The other delegation members of College Teachers comprised of Dr Vijay Sharma, Prof. R.S.Jamwal, Dr B.K.Gandhotra, Dr Neeraj Gupta, Prof. Ram Singh, Dr Ranvijay Singh, Prof. Rajkumar Gupta, Prof. Jagdish Kumar and others.
