| Blood donation camp held at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 25: In lieu of forthcoming world blood donation day, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar today organized a blood donation camp which was inaugurated by Director Health Services Jammu Dr. BS Pathania. According to press release, the camp was organized in association with Indo-Oman Shotokan Karate-Do Association, in which thirty volunteer donors of the organization donated their blood. Speaking on the occasion Director Health BS Pathania emphasised the importance of blood donation for saving valuable lives of people who generously required the donated blood at the time of emergency & trauma. "Since the blood bank of Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu is serving as mother blood bank for many hospitals of peripheral & other health institute. The importance of voluntary blood donation has increased many folds", he said. Medical Superintendent Dr. Romesh Gupta emphasised that between the ages of 18- 55 one could voluntary donate at least three times in a year if he/she was healthy & not suffering from any disease.
