Jammu, Sept 25: Jammu and Kashmir PHE, ITI Trained Daily Rated Workers Union today held massive protest demonstration cum hunger strike in support of their long pending demands including release of salary in favour of DRWS ITI trained workers which are without pay for last many years.
A large number of ITI Trained dayly rated workers from all the divisions of Jammu Province assembled at office of Chief Engineer PHE at BC Road and raised slogans in favor of their demands.
While addressing the protesting workers, President of the Association Tanveer Hussain stressed upon the authorities of the PHE department to settle the below noted genuine demands of the DRWS without further delay otherwise they will intensify the agitation.
Among other who attended the protest included Subhash Chander, Deepak Gupta, Chandan Singh, Ripin, Manish Abrol, Ashok Kumar and Chamal Lal. |
