| Khanna lashes out at Soz for calling BJP communal | | | Early Times Repot
Jammu, Sept 25: BJP Member of Parliament and Jammu & Kashmir State Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna has taken strong exception to the statement by Pradesh Congress president and MP Prof. Saif-ud-Din that BJP is a communal party. He said Soz should know that BJP has following in all the communities and its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is fast gaining popularity among Muslims, Sikhs and other minorities. Khanna said that it is the Congress party which has been using communal card from time to time for vote bank politics. It is the same party which creates communal tension at the time of election by appeasing one community at the cast of other community. In Kishtwar also, the riots on August 9 against minority community were engineered by the administration under the patronage of a coalition minister who also is the local MLA of Kishtwar but Congress party did not raise any objection to the minister's conduct. On the other hand, a Union Minister belonging to Congress party made a statement in parliament saying that the Kishtwar riots were only result of personal altercation. Khanna said that BJP is the only truly secular party in the country and the coming election will prove this because the people has understood the Congress party's pseudo secularism which is based on caste and religion. |
