| House burgled in broad daylight | | | Early Times Repot
Jammu, Sept 25: A residential house was burgled in broad daylight in Kangrail area under the jurisdiction of police station Kanachak. As per reports, burglars struck in a locked residential house in Kangrail area in broad daylight and broke open the locks of door and almirahs and decamped with cash and goods worth thousands. The lock of main gate remained intact while the thieves entered in the house by jumping the boundary wall. The incident occurred when the family was out of the house regarding some work while the children were at their school. The theft came to fore after the family returned back in the afternoon. The locks of door as well the almirahs were found broken and the articles were found scattered on the beds. The news regarding daylight spread in the area and many people assembled at the spot. The matter was informed to the local police station as well as senior police officers. On getting information, a police team led by SHO Kanachak Inspector Jitender Raina reached the spot and took stock of the situation. According to owner of the house Rattan Sharma, the cash and some silver coins were stolen. Residents of the area were panicked after the daylight burglary and demanded early arrest of the accused. Police is investigating the matter. |
