| Governor condoles demise of Dr Francis | | | JAMMU, MARCH 15
Governor Lt. General (Retd) S K Sinha today expressed grief over the passing away of Dr Francis Rath, a noted medical practioner and social activist of Baramulla, who had been rendering devoted service to the society for several decades.
In a message, the Governor said that Dr Francis was one of the few living persons who had been witness to massacre and destruction of Baramulla town by Pakistani army regulars and raiders in 1947. His reminisces of trampling the dignity of nuns in St. Joseph’s Hospital Baramulla exposed the gruesome and horrifying acts of marauders during those horrendous days, General Sinha added.
The Governor conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
