| Supreme Court upholds selection conduct of JKPSC | | Dismisses SLP, fines Rs 10,000 on petitioner | | JAMMU, MARCH 16 The Divisional Bench of Supreme Court comprising the Chief Justice and Mr. Justice R. V. Raveendran while dismissing Special Leave Petition SLP, in a case of Rifat Ara V/S State of Jammu and Kashmir has directed the petitioner to pay Rs 10,000 to the respondent Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission with a period of two months failing which concerned Director will take appropriate proceedings for recovery of the said amount. The Court observes in its order that petitioner has made serious allegations against the selection conduct by the Public Service Commission, alleging that marks obtained have been tempered with by the authorities. At the instance of the petitioner the papers and marks sheet of the petitioner, have been produced by the authorities, wherefrom it appears that the answer papers of the petitioner are not tempered with and there are no corrections as alleged by, the petitioner the Court order says. “Thus, it is clear that the petitioners allegations of tampering with marks is false and baseless”. |
