| PM’s reconstruction plan stem cell for massive infrastructure development: Azad | | Train youth in available ITIs for jobs in hydro power projects’ | | Jammu, March 16 Connoting Prime Minister’s reconstruction plan as stem cell for massive public service infrastructure development in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad said that magnanimous financial support the state is receiving under the plan would catapult development progress in the state. Chief Minister was chairing a high level meeting to get detailed appraisal of each and every scheme taken in hand under the Prime Minister’s reconstruction plan. He said major projects in power, roads, tourism, healthcare, education, agriculture etc. launched under the plan would help in a big way to realise the dream of greater prosperity and development in the state. Mr. Azad emphasizing for completing the projects with missionary zeal, asked the concerned departments to ensure completion within targeted time period so that benefits yield as envisaged. Referring to inter-district and inter-provincial road communication structure being established and upgraded under the reconstruction plan, he said this would prove hub for socio-economic upliftment of the far-off areas along connecting these with main highways. Chief Secretary Mr. C. Phunsog, Financial Commissioner Home Mr. B . R. Kundal, Principal Secretary Planning and Development Mr. S. S. Kapoor, Principal Secretary Agriculture Mr. S. S. Sahni, Principal Secretary Power Development Mr. Madhav Lal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anil Goswami, Principal Secretary Science and Technology Mr. A. S. Sidhu, Principal Secretary Higher Education Mr. A. K. Angurana, Commissioner/Secretary Finance Mr. B. B.Vyas, Commissioner/Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr. Lokesh Jha, Commissioner/Secretary Forests Mr. Atal Dulloo, Secretaries of several other departments and senior officers of NHPC and Border Roads Organization attended the meeting. While reviewing execution of various hydel projects in the state, Chief Minister was informed that Dul-Hasti project is being commissioned shortly. Other hydel projects that came under review in the meeting included Baglihar, Sewa-II, Uri-II, Nimu-Bazgo and Chutak. Chief Minister emphasized the need for training local youth at the available ITIs as per the job requirement in the hydel power projects coming up in the state so that they get jobs readily or use their skill to venture in industrial and trade activities.
