| Afzal Guru hanging case | | BJYM to submit one lakh signatures to Prez | | Jammu, Mar 16 State Unit of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has decided to submit over a lakh signatures from Jammu and Kashmir, confirming views to hang Parliament accused Afzal Guru, to President of India. The Morcha had launched a signature campaign in the state to this effect which concluded here today and claimed to have obtained over a lakh of signatures supporting hanging of the accused. Addressing the concluding function State General Secretary of the Morcha Rajiv Charak said that Afzal is a terrorist and involved in the Parliament attack should be hanged as per the Supreme Court verdict. State Secretary Pranav Gupta, who also spoke on the occasion, expressed concern over the silence of AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and asked the Congress to answer why it has been adopting soft stand against the accused and dis-honouring the Supreme Court verdict. ‘Accepting Guru’s mercy appeal will be playing into the hands of the terrorists and their supporters’, he observed. Among others who spoke included Paramjeet Choudhry, Yudvir Sethi, Munish Sharma, Sahil Gupta,Gurtej Singh, Vipan Shastri, Indu Bhushan Sharma and Vijay Kumar.
