| KRISH RAKHIS, KITES ATTRACT JAMMUITES | | | Jammu, August 03: After recording huge success at the box office, India’s first super hero Krish is now making waves in the traditional business of manufacturing Rakhis and kites ahead of festive season. If market reports are to be believed small scale industry’s search for their super hero to propel their rakshi sales,facing tough competition from greeting card industry, has come to an end with the emergence of super hero in the form of Krish.
"Krish is already a big craze and this year we decided to procure maximum products with images of Krish all over it to boost our sales, a local businessman in Ganghi Nagar gole market area said.
It may be mentioned that before the movie was released the production company has also launched variety of merchandise to popularize brand Krish.
Now after the huge success of the film at the box office businessmen are eager to use brand Krish to boost sale figure of their products.
A businessmen dealing with rakhi products in Pacca danga area told Kashmir Independent Press, the market in Jammu has also responded favorably to the merchandise put on display across gift shops and stores selling exquiste rakhis and kites displaying larger than life imagery of India’s first desi super hero.
According to local businessmen in Pacca danga, this year girls have shown keen interest in purchasing Rakhis with images of Krish on display.He said, sales figure also recorded north ward trend as children preferred waering Rakins with images of Krish.A Krish rakhi is prized anywhere between Rs 25 - Rs 100 in retail market.
Ridhi said that she had purchased 4 Krish rakhis from her pocket money.She said her cosuins love character of Krish portrayed by Hritik Roshan,Similarly, the manufacturers of kites here in old city area are working over time to produce maximum kites with images of Krish.This year the kites with Krish picture are in great demand and we are receiving maximum orders from rural areas to produce Krish kites,Dheeraj Kumar, a kite manufacturer said. |
