| Mottan dares PDP to withdraw from Govt | | | JAMMU, MAR 16 Hailing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s decision for turning down the Mufti’s demand for withdrawal of security forces and AFSPA from Jammu and Kashmir, Romesh Mottan, a prominent leader of the state and former Vice President PDP has dared PDP to withdraw from the coalition government and test its waters in the fresh Assembly elections. Addressing a huge gathering of worker of all political parties including Congress, BJP, BSP, NC, Shiv Sena and Samajwadi party at Bishnah near here today, Mottan said loss of power in Government coupled with growing popularity of Ghulam Nabi Azad had led to frustration to Mufti’s and this frustration has further been aggravated by the fact that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is improving with every passing day. ‘This has caused indigestion resulting in spitting of venom by PDP leader and its Party President Mehbooba Mufti, he added. ‘If the PDP does not agree with a the policies pursued by Azad Government, the PDP instead of making noises here and there should withdraw itself from the coalition and force elections to test waters, he added. Dr Keerat Singh ex-Zone President PDP while addressing the gathering said that ‘group- ism and nepotism in PDP has set in and this is leading to down fall of the party’. Others who addressed the gathering included Balbir Singh, Anant Ram Kaith, Tarlok Raj Mottan, Girdhari Lal, Manohar Lal, Asha Nand Sharma, Prithvi Singh, Suresh Changotra, Jagat Ram Bhagat, Surjit Singh Sasan and Ashok Singh Salaria.
