| Court frames corruption charge against CAPD employee | | | Jammu, Mar 16 Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. JR Kotwal framed corruption charges against Hira Nand Sharma who was posted as clerk in the office of Assistant Director CAPD Kathua and was arrested by the Vigilance Organization while demanding and accepting Rs 2500 from a complainant as illegal gratification. While framing charge Mr. Kotwal after perusing the entire record and hearing arguments on both the sides observed that there is sufficient ground to presume that accused has committed offence u/s 161 RPC, 5(2) r/w 5(1)(d) PC Act 2006 BK as prima-facie a case under these sections is made out and charge against the accused Hira Nand Sharma is framed and directed the prosecution to lead evidence on next date of hearing. According to the VOJ story that accused in April 2006 while posted as clerk in the office of Assistant Director CAPD Kathua being a public servant demanded Rs 2500 as illegal gratification from complainant Shimal Raj for issuing license for establishing Atta-Chaki in his favour. The complainant filed a complaint with VOJ and upon this a trap team was constituted on April 134, 2006 which laid a trap in the office and caught red-handed accused while accepting Rs 2500 as bribe from the complainant.
