| DB directs not to de-reserve post of Asstt. Prof, ETC. | | | Jammu, March 19
Division Bench of J&K High Court Jammu Wing, comprising Justice YP Nargotra and Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir, in an LPA field by lecturer of Engineering college challenging the de-reservation of post of Assistant Professor in Electronics, issued notice to state of J&K through Chief Secretary and PSC through its secretary. After hearing Advocate Anil Sethi appearing for the petitioner, the DB ordered that in the meanwhile, if the post of Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication in under scheduled caste category, the same shall not be de-reserved till next date of hearing.
This LPA seeks setting aside the judgment dated March 6, 2007 passed by the Single Judge. In the LPA it has been submitted that the applicant belonging to SC category has passed his M. Tech from IIT Rurkee in April, 2007 and is working as lecturer in the pay-scale of 8000-13500 having experience of over three years.
DB after hearing Advocate Anil Sethi appearing for the appellant issued notice and directed that post shall not be de-reserved.
