Dr Bhisham Naryan Singh, former Governor of Assam, presented ‘Rashtriya Gaurav Award’ and a certificate of excellence to Ch. Zaffarullah Azad, District President Congress Poonch and member State Advisory Board for Gujjar and Bakerwal, for his meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role in maintaining communal harmony in the State, especially in the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
This award was presented to Zaffarullah at a seminar on’ Economic Growth and National Integration’ held at New Delhi, which was organized by India International Friendship Society New Delhi.
The prominent personalities present at the function were GVC Krishna Murthy, former Chief Election Commissioner of India, Ram Vilas Vishnu, Deputy Speaker Rajasthan Assembly, Dr. Amait Patil, a renowned scholar and Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary India International Friendship Society New Delhi.
