| SSP Mushtaq Kinu suspended | | | Jammu | Mar 20
Financial Commissioner, Home, B R Kundal today suspended Senior Superintendent of Police, Mushtaq Kinu, Commandant 3rd battalion Jammu and Kashmir Armed police (JKAP) for transporting official cement and bricks from Srinagar to his under construction house at Roop Nagar, Jammu in a JKAP truck some day back.
Taking serious note in this regard, Director General of Police Gopal Sharma had recommended attachment of the police officer to police Headquarters pending an inquiry against him and today he was suspend in an order.
The DGP had written to Finance commissioner (Home), B R Kundal for attachment of Kinu on the ground that a department as well as a vigilance inquiry is being conducted against him on the charges of misconduct.
The Vigilance organization has completed inquiry into the recovery of bricks and cement being off-loaded at Kinu’s house in Roop Nagar. The inquiry report, which has been submitted to Vigilance Commissioner Dr Ashok Bhan, has held the SSP guilty of professional misconduct for using police truck for transporting cement and bricks from Srinagar, where he was posted in Jammu. The Vigilance inquiry is reported to have put a question mark on clarifications given by Kinu after the Vigilance operation.
