| Malhotra inspects sanitation work | | | JAMMU |March 20 To personally monitor the pace of sanitation drive launched by the Jammu Municipal Corporation in Jammu, the city of temples, Vijay Malhotra Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee today visited different areas of the city. The areas visited included Mohalla Bhabarian, Dogra Hall, old Rehari, Mohalla Ustad and Pacca Danga. Former Chairman Social Justice Committee Dawarka Nath Choudhary and several Municipal Councilors including Sanjay Mahey, Chaman Lal Bhagat, Satish Sharma, Balwan Singh, Man Mohan Singh, Pawan Singh, Jaswant Singh Soodan, Raj Rani Mahajan, besides Ashok Kumar Dogra, Subash Gupta and Priya Sethi Councilors of the respective wards, accompanied the Chairman during the tour. The team accompanied by Health Officer inspected the sanitation work undertaken by the sanitation wing of the JMC in these areas and expressed satisfaction over the working of the Municipal staff in these areas. Stressing the need for ensuring cleanliness in the entire city, the Chairman directed the concerned agency to gear up its men and machinery so that the drive could be accomplished ahead of schedule. He said it should be a routine practice to launch such drives in the areas falling within the Corporation limits.
