| Governor greets people on Nauroz | | | JAMMU | March 20
Governor, Lt. Gen. (Retd) S. K. Sinha has greeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Nauroz.
In a message, the Governor hoped the day would be observed in true spirit of our composite culture and prayed for joy and happiness for all.
Since the day is also observed as World Arbour Day, General Sinha called for massive plantation saying that mankind is inextricably linked to the well being of trees and forests. He stressed the need for taking effective measures to conserve forest resources and bio-diversity, which is imperative for maintaining ecology.
