| Information employees elect Adhoc Body, Officers, employees deliberate issues | | | Jammu, March 20 The general body of Jammu and Kashmir Information Employees today elected an Adhoc Executive Body which will function under the chairmanship of Noor Mohammad Bhat till the election are held for electing the office bearers of the union. In a unanimous decision in the general body meeting of J&K Information Employees held here today the Jammu and Kashmir Non-Gazetted Information employees union and Gazetted Information Officers Union were merged into “Jammu and Kashmir Information Employees Welfare Association”. Pran Singh has been elected as Vice Chairman, Bhola Nath Dhar as Secretary and s. Afshana Masood as Publicity Advisor of the newly elected adhoc body of the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Welfare Association which will adopt the joint constitution of the hitherto separate unions. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the employees of the Directorate of Information, Joint Directorate Jammu, Joint Directorate Kashmir, Kashmir Bureau of Information New Delhi, Kashmir Bureau of Information Jallandhar and District Information Centres of the State. The employees of the Information department expressed their full faith in the Director of Information Kh. Farooq Ahmad Renzu and hoped that Renzu would solve the problems in the department and project the other long pending demands including declaration of Information Service as an important Public service sanctioning of incentives and rewards for meritorious public relations service/ functions being performed by various units of the department. Removing of stagnation in the department, filling up vacant posts of the department by internal promotions and creating modern infrastructure. The representatives of newly elected body led by chairman Noor Mohammad Bhat had an interaction with the Director of Information and offered their full support to him in running the department smoothly in the interest of the Government and people of the state. Kh. Renzu assured them that their genuine demands would be fulfilled and wherever intervention is required, he ensured that he will project properly and positively.
