6 new WSS for Kokernag on anvil: Peerzada
‘Bringi Canal to be constructed for augmenting irrigation’

Jammu, March 20
Government has formulated 6 new water Supply Schemes for augmenting potable supply in water stressed areas of far flung Keokernag Constituency of South Kashmir in Anantnag district.
Minister for Education Hajj and Auqaf Peerzada Mohammad Syeed gave this information today at a meeting with PHE officials at his Office Chamber. Minister had also called Commissioner Secretary PHE Mehboob Iqbal to inquire about the status of work on various ongoing schemes in his home constituency.
While the meeting was informed that, the department has already taken up some major schemes in the area including Daksum-Salangam, Gawaran–Kharpura and Damhal–Khandiwara, it was made out that there are six more schemes in pipeline to be setup in the areas facing shortage of potable water.
