| Wakhloo chairs House Committee meeting | | | Jammu, March 20
To accomplish the task assigned to House Committee constituted by the Speaker to look into the appointments made in different departments without adopting due course of law and works executed without observing nodal formalities since 1996, a meeting was held here today. The meeting was chaired MLA s. Khem Lata Wakhloo.
The meeting held threadbare discussion on the subject and Members put forth their viewpoints. The Committee reviewed the progress achieved till date and decided further action on the matter. It was apprised that the data required for the purpose has been procured by the Assembly Secretariat and made available to each Member and department-wise scrutiny would be done and recommendations would be made to the House Accordingly.
Meanwhile, the Committee directed the Assembly Secretariat to send a communication to the Chief Secretary requesting him to circulate instructions to all departments to involve concerned MLA for engaging any casual labour in future.
Those present in the meeting included M.Y.Shah, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Ghulam Raza, M.Y.Tarigami, s. Shanti Devi and Additional Secretary Assembly Mohammad Ramzan.
