| Govt committed to upgrade healthcare facilities- Mangat | | | UDHAMPUR, MARCH 20 Reiterating the resolve of government to provide basic health care facilities at every nook and corner of the state, the Minister for Health and Medical Education, Mangat Ram Sharma said that the efforts are being made to upgrade the health institutions with modern infrastructural facilities for the benefit of common masses. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating new Mechanized Laundry Plant at District Hospital, Udhampur and Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur’s Office Complex building here today. The Minister of State for Revenue and Finance, Prem Sagar Aziz, MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia also accompanied the Health Minister. The Laundry Plant at Udhampur Hospital has been installed by M/s Matharoo Manufacturing Company, Delhi on donation basis which would be maintained and manned by the Company itself. The Minister for Health said that Udhampur district has its own importance and full fledged health facilities are badly required to meeting exigencies like accidents on National highway besides meeting the rapid growing demand of the people of the district. MLA Udhampur while speaking on the occasion complimented the officers and people of the district to have new D.C. Office complex. He demanded for early provision of C.T. Scan facility at district hospital and early start of additional accommodation in the hospital. DDC Udhampur, O.P. Kalandria, Director Health Services, Dr. Jasbir Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, P. R. Manhas, senior officers of different departments, Municipal Councilors, prominent political activists and citizens of the district were present on the occasion.
