Jammu,March 20 In connection with 5-day Interstate Cultural Exchange Programme of Sangeet Natak Academy,New Delhi,Goa Cultural Troupe in collaboration with State Department of Art, Culture and Languages presented a colourful cultural bonanza at Govt. Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar here today. Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education, Ajaz Ahmed Khan presided over the function. Addressing on the occasion, the Minister said that India has rich age old culture and civilization, comprising of several religions, castes and communities and it is known for its unity in diversity, religious tolerance and communal brother-hood. Ajaz stressed for performing such programmes at other places of the state also so that large number of people are exposed to our national composite culture. The Goa troupe presented Lamp dance, Fucdi and Dhalo, Kunbi dance, Dekhni dance, fisher folk dance and Suvari, Tagadi, Tonyamel and Goff, which was highly appreciated by the audience amid applause. The function was among others attended by Director Colleges, Dr. N.D. Wani, Principal Professor Veena Gupta, Deputy Secretary Cultural Academy T.R. Sharma, Professor Hemla Aggarwal and Dr. Arvinder Singh Aman. The programme was conducted by Miss Rajni Anubhav.
