Van falls down in nallah, driver killed
Drowned lady’s body recovered, burn injured succumbed

A driver was killed when van he was driving fell into a flooded nullah at Ramnagar in Udhampur distt this morning. Meanwhile, the body of a lady who was drowned in a flooded nallah, recovered here today.
According to reports, a maruti van bearing regn no JK14-9394 which was on its way from Udhampur to Ramnagar fell down into a flooded nallah at Gondhi when driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a curve resulting into his on spot death. The deceased has been identified as Ramu, 57, son of Munshi Ram of Ramnagar. After the incident, police team and local people rushed to the spot and recovered the body from the nullah.
Meanwhile, the body of a 52 yrs old lady identified as Makhna Devi, wife of Late Krishan Lal of Barmin, Udhampur who drowned away in a flooding nullah last night while on her way to home, was recovered by her family members this morning.
