3/21/2007 10:36:30 PM
JAMMU March 21
Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its State President Vijay Chandel, has demanded increase in the interest rate on Provident Fund to 9.5 per cent per annum against 8 per cent at present as also implementation of workers pension scheme in Jammu and Kashmir, as is in vogue in other states of the country.
The Sangh has also demanded issuance of annual statements of the GP Fund subscriptions and pleaded that final withdrawals should be made to the subscribers directly as in a number of cases the money has not reached to the genuine subscriber.
The meeting impressed upon the Board of Trustees, which is meeting here tomorrow, to take decisions on these issues and asked for giving due representation to the BMS in Provident Fund Board of Trustees.
Among others present in the meeting were Harbans Choudhary, N K Gupta, Major Singh, Chaman Lal Raina, Som Dass, Ashok Choudhary and Shamsher Chand.
