Parkash Kour’s death widely mourned

Jammu March 21
The death of Parkash Kour, wife of former Minister and senior PDP Vide President S. Rangil Singh, passed away here today.
Several political, social and Non-governmental organizations have widely mourned her death and conveyed their sympathies with the bereaved family.
Various Sikh organizations held a condolence meeting under the chairmanship of Sudershan Singh Wazir ex-President State Gurudwara Parbandak Board to mourn the death of Smt Parkash Kour, wife of Rangil Singh former Minister and senior Vice President PDP.
The participants at the meeting expressed their shock and grief over the death of Parkash Kour, a pious and religious lady. She belonged to a well to do family from Kashmir and her parents were the Head Priest of historical Gurudwara Chatti Padshai Srinagar.
Several political leaders and well wishers visited the residence of Singh to personally convey their condolences to the bereaved family. They included former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Health and Medical Education Minister Mangat Ram Sharma, PHE Minister Duilawar Mir, Finance Minister Abdul Hamid Qarra,Power Minister Rigzin Jora, Minister of State for Education Manjeet Singh, besides several party leaders including M S Tariq, Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi, Daman Bhasin and many leaders from Congress, NC, BJP and Panthers Party.
Others who visited the residence of Rangil Singh to mourn the death of his wife included Narbir Singh President Shiromani Youth Akali Dal, Kehar Singh, Aik Singh of DGPC, Mahinder Singh Chief Organizer, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Society, Paramjeet Singh President AISSF, Master Amar Singh President Sikh Welfare Society, Gajan Singh Chairman Sikh Sangat , Manmohan Singh Chairman Gole Gujral, Kultar Singh, Kanchan Singh Chatha, Dharminder Singh President JEMEFO, Kulwant Singh Chief Advisor SNS.
The funeral procession of the deceased will take place on Friday at cremation Ground Jogi Gate at 3 PM. .
