| Kisan Sabha assails PDP stand on demilitarization | | | JAMMU March 21 Strongly criticizing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for raising ‘emotional and unrealistic issues’ with an eye on elections and blackmail the people, President Kissan Sabha H C Jalmeria said here today that PDP instead of raising such issues should concentrate on restoration of peace and normalcy in the state besides help remove people’s problems. Maintaining that for durable peace and unity of the State, he said, equitable development of all the three regions of the state was imperative and the inequalities that have taken place between the regions as well as intra-regions needs to be looked into. Saying that despite having much larger area as also more voters and population, the Jammu region, he said, deserves nine more seats in Assembly apart from three more districts and called upon the democratic and regional force to assert for resolution of the issues of equalitarian political power as well as equality in growth and development, a handout said.
