Hakeem visits several flood affected areas in Budgam, oversees shifting of 80 families to safer areas

Srinagar, March 21
Minister for Transport Hakeem Mohammed Yaseen who arrived here today on two day tour of the valley visited various areas of Budgam and Khansahib to assess the flood situation arisen due to continuous rains.
The Minister visited village Frastwar, Gohidragan, Ari-wari, and Draygam in Khansahib area where residential houses were damaged due to land erosion.
Mr Yasin supervised shifting of 300 persons of eighty families to safer places. He directed the concerned officers to provide free ration, blankets and other essentials to the affected families. He said government would take necessary steps for rehabilitation of the affected.
The Minister condoled the death of a bus conductor Reyaz Ahmed who was drowned in flash waters at Bemina this morning.
