| CHILDREN FROM KASHMIR INTERACT WITH | | | Udhampur, Mar 21
Major Gen PK Chakravorty, VSM, today interacted with children of the Valley on their return from an educational tour from Kupwara, Srinagar, Udhampur, Jammu, Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Goa and Pune. The educational tour sponsored by the Army comprised of twenty five children accompanied by four teachers. These educational tours are part of activities initiated under Operation Sadbhavana and are organized to expose children of the Valley to the culture, diversity and development in other parts of the country. This tour was particularly aimed to encourage the children to get a first hand experience of the tremendous career options available and motivate them to compete at the national level thereby amalgamating them with the national mainstream.
During their interaction with the General, the children conveyed their myriad experiences during the visit. The General commented on the fast improving peace environment in the State and exhorted the children to use their experiences to encourage other children to use the opportunity to forge ahead. He also wished them the very best for their life ahead.
