| PM-Mufti meeting postponed | | | SRINAGAR: The meeting between PM Manmohan Singh and former Jammu & Kashmir chief minister and People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mufti Mohammed Sayeed has been deferred by a day to Thursday.
Talking to The Times of India, a source here confirmed that the meeting has been postponed, but did not give any
details.
The meeting is to be held in the backdrop of the PDP-Congress face-off over the issue of withdrawal of troops from the Valley. While chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has said such an action may trigger an escalation of violence, PDP wants it done immediately and has threatened to pull out from the coalition government.
