| Ayub Khan passes away | | | Jammu, Mar 21 Former Jammu and Kashmir State Congress chief and ex-MP Ayub Khan died at his residence, here today, at the age of 85. Survived by his wife, a son and three daughters, Khan was a renowned politician of the state who has also served as a minister in the G M Sadiq Government in late 1960s. Appointed as JKPCC President in 1971, Khan contested and won the Lok Sabha elections in 1989 from Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency. The deceased was laid to rest at Gujjar Nagar Grave Yard. Hundreds of people participated in his last rites. Meanwhile, Municipal President Banihal Vikar Rasool has expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and term the death of Ayub Khan as a great loss to Banihal in particular and State in general.
