| JKSAC submits memorandum to Parliamentary sub- committee | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 7: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir sharnarthi Action Committee under the leadership of Capt. R.K Raina, Advocate Gurdeep Singh Pandey President , Advocate Mr Ronik Sharma General Secretary/Spokesperson, Daler singh Secretary, Lucky Singh, Varun Khajuria and ors submits memorandum to Parliamentary Sub-Committee and apprised him about the long pending demands of the Displaced persons of 1947, 1965, 1971 who are suffering from passed six decades and also narrated the position of the people of the areas of J&K occupied by Pakistan by aggression have remained neglected, discriminated and unattended from the strategic, political, economic, social and constitutional angles. While discussing the demands of the neglected Displaced persons Advocate Gurdeep Singh pandey President of the JKSAC with Parliamentaary Sub-Committee and said that this community completed its 65 years of uprooting from their home towns of Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bhimbar and Dev Batala etc. of POJK, its members have yet to be accepted even as 'refugees' by either of their two host governments, the Central government in New Delhi or the State government of J&K. While expressing their demands Mr Pandey said that the Central government must create a National Register of all the POJK migrants without any conditions. "This Register should record all information about the POJK DPs, their descendents, the properties which they or their families left behind in POJK and their present status. It will help the Indian government to present its case on POJK. He said that Government Of Indiaas well as state government must appoint nodal officer for registration of pojk dps'as relief and rehabilitation commissioner is appointed for kashmiri migrants and it is additional burden on him to also take serious steps on pojk dps'.Besides this Gurdeep singh pandey also made an representation to appoint divisional commissioner as its nodal officer in place of PRO jammu. The DPs should be asked to provide details of their properties, buildings/ land left back in POK. Where ever the DPs do not have documents preserved with them, they need be offered assistance for collecting the same from POJK. |
