| NSF demands re-conduct of exams for paramedics | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 7: Demanding re-conducting the examination for Para-medical students, the National Secular Forum (NSF) activists staged a protest demonstration against Government Medical College (GMC) administration here today Led by President NSF Sukhdev Singh, scores of Para-medical students of different Colleges assembled outside GMC and blocked the road which disrupted the traffic movement for around half an hour. Raising slogans against the Board of State Medical Faculty, the protesting students alleged that most of the students were absent in the recently held exams due to the confusion created by Board of State Medical Faculty as it issued three date sheets in one month. Addressing the students, Sukhdev Singh said that the paper set by GMC Srinagar for first and second year Para-medical student was out of syllabus, which has created lot of chaos and confusion. He further said: "In last two years our classes remained affected due to several reasons and now the GMC Jammu issued the syllabus of the examination. But unfortunately when we sat in the exam centres, the question paper was out of syllabus." He demanded immediate re-conducting of the examination, so as to save the future of hundreds of Para-medics and warned to come on roads if their demand not redressed. |
