| After Rahul’s visit, 2 CRPF personnel killed at Awantipora \ | | | Saahil Suhail Srinagar, Nov 7: Hours after Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi concluded his Kashmir visit, Militants showed their presence by ambushing CRPF patrolling party in South Kashmir's Awantipora area resulting on spot death of two Jawans. Reports said that in the evening militants' ambushed patrolling party of CRPF's 130 battalion at Jawbrara, Awantipora near Awantipora agrological site. In the Militant attack two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Jawans identified as Pardeep Gana resident of Maharastra and Mahesh Ram resident of Madiya Pradesh sustained critical injuries. Both the injured were shifted to Army's Victor Force hospital, few meters away from the attack site; however both of them succumbed to their injuries in the hospital Militants after the attack managed to flee from the spot. The attack in the close vicinity of the Victor Force headquarters has worried the security establishment. Also Worthwhile to mention that Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi along with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Miniter Jai Ram Ramesh, Ambika Soni, State Congress President Prof. Saif-u-din Soz and other ministers from the state government today visited South Kashmir's Pulwama district to inaugurate Asia's largest Apple farm at Lasipora Pulwama. Today's militant attack depicts that the security agencies in the valley are lacking the synergy to fight terrorists. |
