| Wasim urges youth to unitedly fight for rights | | | Early Times Report
KALAKOTE, Nov 7: A day long youth convention was organized at Kalakote to discuss and highlight the issues and demands of the youth of Kalakote Assembly segment. This convention is an annual affair for the last couple of affairs and like every year a large number of youth activists associated with the various walks of life participated in the convention.
The convention was organized to celebrate the spirit of youth and to generate the awareness about the rights and responsibilities of the youth towards the society and nation. A large number of youth activists and leaders belonging to various panchayats participated in the convention. Many of the participants were elected panchayat members.
The youth leaders revealed that the Kalakote have been ignored by the successive governments in terms of development. They univocally declared that time has come that the youth must over through the current, corrupt and dictator regime.
While delivering his address, Assembly youth Congress President Wasim Kohli appreciated the local youth committee for organizing the convention and asked the youth to propagate the developmental programmes and policies and various welfare schemes launched by the government for the development of masses.
Wasim also threw light, on the aim of organizing this youth convention. He said that the main purpose of organizing this convention is channelizing the energy of youths in right direction and also in nation building. He further said that such type of conventions inculcate a concept of youth activism and political awareness among the community members.
He further added that, this convention is a platform for the youth of Kalakote to raise issues and fight for their rights.
He appealed the youth of Kalakote to put a united fight for their rights and for the development of Kalakote. He further said that youth must fight and repel the fundamentalists and communal forces. They must strive for an inclusive growth of the Kalakote. Wasim said that time has come that the political course of Kalakote constituency must get a change. Kohli further said that youth are the builder's of the nation and cream of society and it is the duty of youth to always raise voice against social evil prevailing in the society and also to fight for cause of downtrodden.He further assured that he will extend full support to the youth of Kalakote in their fight against social evils and in their efforts of development of the region.
Prominent local youth leaders who were present on the occasion were Raj Kumar Sharma , Dil Pazir Choudhary, Liquat Ali ,Verender Singh ,Sanjay Sharma, Angrez Singh Sanjeev, Adv. Anayat, Kafeel Ahmed and many others. The youth leaders discussed the ways and means of youth empowerment and development of the Kalakote Assembly constituency. |
