| TIME NOT OPPORTUNE FOR TROOP WITHDRAWAL:AZAD | | | Jammu,March 22 Stating that differences between the alliance partners- Congress and Peoples Democratic party (PDP) were based on perceptions and were not fundamental Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday once again made it clear that the time was not opportune for withdrawal of troops from Kashmir valley as demanded by PDP patronMufti Mohd Sayeed. Azad also made it clear that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singhs' final verdict on the issue of withdrawal of troops is acceptable to him. Commenting on the outcome of the meeting between the PDP patron and Prime Minister in New Delhi, Azad told reporters that Mufti Mohd Sayeed may think time is opportune for withdrawal of troops but according to him the time was not opportune as the state was still dealing with problem of militancy. Compairing the menace of militancy with a patient running high fever,Azad said the patient of militancy too requires complete medication to cure the ailment.He said no doubt fever has come down from 104 degrees to 102 degrees but still it has not touched 98 degrees-a normal value so that we can declare that it is alright now.
